I bought this swing at the end of last season at a highly reduced price. I thought for the money, the quality was OK. Or so I thought. Unfortunately, I waited until the following summer to assemble it. I was doing well following each step of the directions until I got to a certain point where the sub-assembled pieces wouldn't fit together and when trying, one of the pieces of wood split. It seems it came with some of the holes missed drilled which would not allow it to fit together.
The more time I spent trying to figure out the problem and consulting with other people, the more frustrated I became and the more I disliked the product quality and appearance.
Since I had waited too long to put it together, I couldn't return it. The manufacturer would replace the broken piece and the pieces that were defected if I could tell which ones were defected. I really couldn't. I would have had to have the whole frame shipped out. And, with the passage of time, the swing started to look ugly.
So, I have given up. What I have assembled will be taken apart this weekend. I will chalk it up to "you get what you pay for". At this point, I wouldn't have it in my backyard if I were given it for free!
