Surprisingly strong for its size, this cedar accessory table from American Woods is the featherweight of outdoor furniture. Crafted from solid, high-quality Western red cedar, the table is great for holding plants, a basket of garden tools, or a pitcher of rosemary lemonade. The top section features several snugly joined cedar pieces and measures 1-1/4 inches thick. With its discreet hardware, the table is unlikely to snag fingers or clothing and can even do for a comfortable seat in a patio party chair shortage. American Woods has treated the table with an oil-based, semi-transparent coat. Applying additional oil-based stain will prolong its life and water-repellant properties. --Emily Bedard

 American Woods furniture August 21, 2002
American Woods furniture is great. Unlike similar furniture by other makers, American Woods uses bolts in the assembly of the piece rather than wooden pegs which shrink and become brittle over the years causing the piece to come apart. As the wood shrinks the bolts can be tightened. I love the look as well as the comfortable sitting. (I have two chairs as well as the table.)
 Very nice small side table July 7, 2002
This is a very nice side table. It is however very small. I got it with the gliding lounge chair and it is the perfect accent!!
