Great tool!! October 6, 2008 This device is pretty amazing. We've used it on both the dog & cat, and we always seem to get extreme amounts of hair from them. That much less to wind up on the couch!!
Works Great! October 6, 2008 FURminator Large Yellow deShedding Tool with 4-Inch EdgeThis product works great. It does what it's advertised to do. I get hair out of my dog everytime I use it and she's got short hair. I can imagine it works even better on long haired dogs. Well worth the extra money. It was shipped quickly and arrived in good shape in a plastic package.
best purchase ever October 6, 2008 Thsi was the best purchase I ever made for my dog, she loves it too. I have told everyone of my friends with a dog they did this brush. I wish I had bought it sooner.
It's Amazing! October 5, 2008 I heard a joke once that labs only shed twice a year...the first time for 6 months and the second time for 6 months. We have a yellow lab and we could brush him all day long and still have hair in the house! We even tried shaving him to no avail. The furminator takes off mounds of hair. I used to vacuum every day and could still see hair, now I vacuum once a week. We also have 4 cats and I am definitely going to buy the cat furminator. This is the best thing since sliced bread!
It does remove a lot of hair! October 5, 2008 My dog has long hair and a lot of it. I tried the furminator and found that it does remove a lot of hair, but one has to be very careful when using it - just like the instructions mention. Because our dog has a lot of hair, it takes regular slow, controlled brushing ~ once per week to keep it under control. The brush is better used on the coat rather than the tail. I use a comb on his tail and hold on to the root section so that it doesn't cause pain. If only the furminator inventors could stop the static build up when brushing. That seems to really bother our dog.
