Best food dish EVER - small size perfect for cats October 3, 2008
This is simply the best, most functional, most stylish pet food bowl that exists. I ordered two of these for our four-month-old cat. (One for food, one for water -- in addition to her Drinkwell fountain, which we keep in a different room.) Although kittens younger than two months may have a hard time reaching this dish, it's the perfect size for young and adult cats.
The best feature of this dish is that the stainless steel part is removable, which makes it a breeze to clean. Just set it down on the black plastic base and pick it right back up when it's time to refill. The base has about 0.5 cm of grippy rubber around the perimeter, which you don't even see unless you're up close. Our kitty is an "enthusiastic" eater, and the bowl has never moved, tipped, or done anything other than stay put.
With its shiny black base and stainless insert, this bowl has a sleek and streamlined look -- very UNlike traditional pet food dishes, which can be an eyesore, not to mention difficult to clean. I'm just so pleased with these bowls that I want to buy a set for my parents, who are still using regular saucers for their cats.

Great product. I have a schnoodle and the bowl works great for food and water. The stainless steel insert is great since you can it out for feeding and washing.

I bought this bowl for my cat. Initially I was very nervous as I had read a couple of other reviews saying that it was too big for cats, but honestly there aren't a lot of choices on Amazon for this style of pet bowl, so I picked it up anyway.
I got it in the mail yesterday and all my worries were put to rest. Unless you have a teeny, tiny cat, this bowl is just the right size. It holds a good serving of food without threatening to overflow. It also looks very clean and streamlined, unlike my previous pottery-style bowls which tended to look very clunky and silly.
The functionality of the non-skid on the bottom is just a delight. I put it down on the linoleum and was very gratified to hear and feel it thump straight down without sliding at all. The cat ate voraciously out of it last night and it didn't move an inch.
A great bowl at a great price. Highly recommended.
