This is a cute, and perfect set up May 17, 2008 FOR A PLASTIC TOY TURTLE! To even consider a product like this for a real live turtle is cruel, and ridicules
If you want to KILL your turtle then buy this March 18, 2008 This is the farthest thing from a healthy set-up for a turtle. It is a death bowl and is no where near adequate to house a turtle. It is way too small. DO NOT BUY THIS.
Horrible Don't Buy March 16, 2008 This product is horrible for any animal to live in the only reason i gave it a one is because the rating don't go any lower no animal should have to live in this.I bought this for a travel container and after 4 minutes he climbed out of it he probably hated it so much
It's a "Death Bowl" January 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are horrible. My neighbor gave me one of these with the turtle they had. It was a VERY young turtle and already it had outgrown it. Because of the "lagoons" size and shape, the baby turtles shell was being bent up and it is considered a "Death Bowl" by many for good reason. If you are serious about getting a turtle, be ready to pay $ for a good tank, food, vitimans, lights, basking spots, and some others. If you're not ready to pay for those and upkeep the equipment, then a turtle is definitely not for you.
Outdated design December 8, 2007 Erwynn wrote: "the smaller turtles can carry salmonella, and can easily be placed into a child's mouth. In most states it is illegal to own, or buy, a turtle smaller than 4 inches."
Large turtles carry salmonella as well and children have a tendency to put their fingers in their mouth after playing/handling any size turtle. That's how they usually infect themselves. The "four inch law" is archaic and misleading. This turtle enclosure is archaic too.
