We have a very active Boxer and he LOVES to chase, catch, throw and "taunt" with this toy! He loves the "sqeak" it makes when he squeezes it! We have an "outside" dumbell and an "inside" dumbell-. The outside one is holding up pretty well, but we do have to replace it every three months or so due to water/dirt/weather/laddie damage.
 Good Concept - Not for strong chewers April 5, 2008
I got this for my dog and the good news is that he loved it. But he's a strong chewer and it didn't last more than a day or so. I can report that several other off brands make similar versions which have lasted weeks in our household.

My catahoula loved this toy the most but destroyed it in a day. She played with it non-stop until it was in several pieces.
correction to earlier review January 1, 2008
My dogs still love this toy but, like many have stated, the squeaker broke and my yellow lab has managed to bite numerous holes though each end making it likely that I will be throwing it away soon to prevent him from choking.
