Kong frisbee, October 4, 2008 Excellent product, very durable, doesn't fly quite as well as the old version. The new one is heavier and tougher. The old lasted 3 years of almost daily use.
Not worth the $$ September 17, 2008 Despite conflicting reveiws I got this frizbee for my lab/Wem mix who is a very strong chewer. He is only 1yr old and is just learning how to catch a frizbee so despite his being half weim and super fast he can't really catch this disc like he does w/ regular ones. yes it lasts a lot longer since regular frizbees are trashed after about 10 throws. But since it is way to heavy to float through the air he can't catch it in the air so it's not as fun for the both of us. oh well.
Only Frisbee to Buy! September 3, 2008 The Kong Flyer is the only frisbee that my Lab can't destroy immediately and it is soft enough for her to LOOOOVE catching it! The minute anyone gets home, she is anxiously waiting at the door to go outside and play with her favorite outdoors toy.
Strong, but too heavy August 6, 2008 I bought this frisbee a while back for my German Shepherd/Husky mix. Plastic frisbees lasted one throwing session. So I went with this one to try and break her frisbee-a-day habit.
She does chew on it as she's bringing it back, but she hasn't done any real damage to it yet. It's just covered in teeth marks, but no holes or chunks removed. Although I'm sure it would be in worse shape if I let her keep it -- I take it away from her when we're done.
The biggest problem for me is that the frisbee is heavy, so I have to throw it harder to keep it in the air, making it fly much faster. Unfortunately, she isn't exactly the fastest dog on the block, so she rarely has a chance to grab it in the air. I'm sure it would be fine for a fast dog though.
I got her a Soft Bite Floppy Disc, a fabric frisbee that she can catch every time. She can bite at it, shake it, whatever she wants, but it stays intact (it has developed numerous small holes over the last few months, but it still flies fine).
great flying disc June 5, 2008 Great flying disc for my three german shepherds to chase and satisfy their prey drive
