My picky dog loves these poppers August 14, 2008 My dog is extremely picky - when he gets a new treat or a food he is unfamiliar with, he will spit it out after the first taste. Even when he likes a particular treat, there's no guarantee he will continue to eat it, so it is tough to find things he will like long term. I bought a small bag of chicken poppers just to try. Not only did my dog like them on first taste, but he has not become bored with them. I bought the 1lb canister and when that is finished I will be stocking up on plenty more.
My dog's favorite training treat March 20, 2008 The poppers are the favorite of my dog and her friends. At the end of every long walk, I give them three poppers each. They always behave well when they know a popper is coming.
Good, but not as good as the chicken chips or strips March 11, 2008 Neither one of my dogs were very enthusiastic about these. My bigger shar pei ate them, but she will eat anything. My friends pit didn't like them and neither did my smaller shar pei
Smokhouse Poppers Removed from PetSmart October 3, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Please be aware that PetSmart removed these from their shelves a couple weeks ago due to reports of dogs getting sick. While I cannot say these treats are at fault, I do know that my dog ate more of them than usual last night and was a bit throw-uppy this morning...he is totally fine now and he loves them, but I plan to wait for more info before giving him any more...
Chow Hound Time!! September 12, 2007 Wow does my dog Pie LOVE these treats!! I was so happy to find them on Amazon. I love the fact that these treats are all natural. I'm careful about what I give Pie, especially after the last recall.
And putting artificial food coloring in dog food has to be one of the most idiotic things that a company can do. All natural is the way to go!!
