Back to the good old days July 24, 2008 I love my new clothes dryer. I sawed a few inches off the bottom and put it into a heavy umbrella stand on my back porch. It can be taken down and rolled away at a moments notice. I used weights, you can use bricks or anything really, to stabilize the base when it is windy or there are heavy clothes on the line. So, no need to turn on the dryer, heat up the house, use the electricity when you live in sunny southern California!
Whitney Design 3000 30-line Outdoor Parallel Style Clothes dryer July 23, 2008 I bought this Outdoor Clothes Dryer last month and am very happy with it. When it has a lot of clothes on it, it spins slowly around on a breezy day. It has plenty of room for lots of clothes on the lines. You will need to dig a big hole and have a couple bags of cement and some rocks on hand to seat the holder for it, but it wasn't hard to do and the directions were clear. I am happy that this dryer can be removed from its hole and stored away in the winter, as I won't be using it much then--too rainy.
Love'n it!! July 22, 2008 I absoulutely love this cloths line. It holds a lot of clothes. I even put my dress shirts on hangers and hang them on the outer poles and they dry without wrinkles and it enables me to hang even more laundry on it at one time. I do agree with one of the other reviewers that when you fold it up you need to wrap you line up with a twist tye. That way your lines won't be tagled-up when you set your clothes line back up.
It's an easy and cheap way to go green!!
hot sunny days July 20, 2008 this clothes line is great. My son and I are using it almost all the time.
It's keen being green July 17, 2008 Whitney Design 3000 30-Line Outdoor Parallel-Style Clothes Dryer with Aluminum Arms
This outdoor clothes dryer is just what I was looking for. I feel like a 50s housewife when out hanging clothes :-) Only problem is scheduling the wash around sunny days.
