Product Description The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece The Snore Wizard Mouthpiece is a simple and effective oral device for use in the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. Made of special soft feel plastic it comes ready to use. There is no heating or moulding required to achieve a correct fit and you still continue to breathe through your mouth. The SnoreWizard moves the lower jaw slightly forward and holds the mouth slightly open. This improves the airflow at the back of the throat and eliminates snoring in most cases. The Snore Wizard was developed by a dental surgeon and the product has undergone numerous clinical trials in which it was found to reduce snoring and sleep apnea in 94% of research subjects. The Snore Wizard was designed to increase the space behind the tongue by bringing the lower jaw (mandible) forward, opening the airway in the throat and eliminating snoring. Why Most People Snore Normally air passes through the throat to the lungs silently and unhindered. In snorer's however, fatty tissue, tonsils and adenoids can narrow passageways, creating turbulence that makes the throat tissue vibrate. The problem can be exacerbated by excess body weight and/or excessive alcohol consumption prior to sleeping. Snoring has nothing to do with the nostrils. How To Best Prevent Snoring Snoring will not occur if the airway in the throat remains open. This can be accomplished by holding your lower jaw slightly forward during sleep. This is the exact reason that The Snore Wizard was invented. Snoring problems and the more severe form, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) are common problems found in many households. OSAS is the most well manifested form of snoring diseases in which the affected person stops breathing during sleep due to an obstruction of the airway passage towards the lungs. Due to sleeping problems the affected individuals perform day time activities at a very reduced level, which gives rise to a wide range of problems, both from a medical and a social behavioral point

Not worth the price. October 9, 2008 My husband snores SO loudly that we thought we'd give this a try. It works for a couple of hours but then his snoring kicks right back in just as if he wasn't using the product at all. It gives him extreme dry mouth, so he wakes up several times in the night to get a drink of water. He also says it's really uncomfortable and tends to take it out in the middle of the night (while he's still asleep).
The company does not offer a money back guarantee, so definitely, buyer beware. Spend your hard earned cash on something else.
Female and a snorer September 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Being a female and a snorer is embarrassing enough. I am in a new relationship with a wonderful man. Only problem is my snoring keeps him awake at night. I couldn't let something like snoring come between me and the perfect man so I tried this product. Life changing is an understatement. No more nudging in the middle of the night. No more waking up to find him sleeping (or not sleeping) on the couch. No more of him walking around in a fog because he didn't sleep the night before. We wake up together now. Fully rested and together. The product only took one night to get used to since I wear dental partials anyway. I have to wear my partials and the Snore Wizard at night. The partials keep the Wizard in place. I sleep through the night now. Small sacrafice to make for the peace this item brings. Best money I've spent in a long time. I don't know if it will work for everyone, but it certainly did for "us".
Works as advertised September 7, 2008 It takes about 2 weeks to get used to it, but this really works. Because the Snore Wizard can force you to breath through your mouth all night, you may wake up with a dry mouth, but that is a small price to pay for not snoring and keeping your spouse happy. It is also pretty easy to clean.
It works August 16, 2008 This product works for me. It was not comfortable the first two weeks. I got used to it afterward. My wife does not complain any more.
Expensive, Ineffective, and Possibly Dangerous August 16, 2008 Perhaps a good original idea, but poorly designed and manufactured and too darn expensive. There's no mechanism to hold it in place and if sleeping on your back, it can potentially cut loose and sufficate you. Note that you only get the upper one and the hope is that you hold your mouth firmly shut and press the upper and lower teeth against each other so that it never has a chance to break loose, but reality is quite different from theory. One star for trying and the good idea behind the front opening to allow some air in, but not practical or safe unless you never turn around to sleep on your back and subconciously learn to keep this thing firm in its place.
