 AWESOME RESULTS WITH THE FURMINATOR August 30, 2008
THIS BRUSH IS AWESOME!!!! IT WORKS INCREDIBLY! I GOT ENOUGH OFF MY DOG THE FIRST TWO TIMES TO MAKE A STUFFED ANIMAL. AFTER THE FIRST TWO TIMES, IT HAS BEEN JUST A MATTER OF UPKEEP WHICH IS SO SIMPLE. I, NOW, ONLY SPEND A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME (5-10 MINUTES) A FEW TIMES A WEEK. MY DOG IS A LAB MIX AND HIS HAIR IS A LITTLE WIRY BUT ALSO JUST SOFT AND FURRY. I THINK HE ACTUALLY LIKES IT, SORT OF LIKE A MASSAGE. HE WILL EVEN LAY DOWN FOR ME,SO, THE MORAL HERE IS MAKE IT FUN AND RELAXING FOR YOUR DOG. IF YOU HAVE DOG HAIR EVERYWHERE, THIS IS THE BRUSH YOU NEED. SO GLAD I FOUND IT AND INVESTED.

Now that I have your attention. I rate this dog brush 4.5 out of 5. When a new to me product comes to my attention I do not rush out to buy it before I can see it or try it or talk to a friend that has one. In the case of the Furminator I was not able to find one locally. But I was impressed with the video demonstrations. After comparing prices at other web site locations I took a chance that it might be worth the investment. Well I don't get piles of fur like in the video but there has been a remarkable reduction of dog hair on our rugs. Our German Shepherd Dog Toby looks better and the vacuum cleaner operator (me) does not have to empty the bag as often.

I got this tool on recommendation from a friend who really liked it. It does get a lot of hair off and is easier to use than a regular brush. However, my German Shepherd/Black Lab mix seems to end up shedding more afterwards. She sheds two ways, fur balls and what I call needle droppings (individual hairs). The balls of fur have gotten better, but she's now shedding more individual hairs everywhere than ever before. I don't know if this is just a coincidence or if it's because of this tool. I've been using this for several weeks now and so far it hasn't gotten any better. I'm still willing to give it more time. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Although, how many ways can you brush a dog?

I use this on my German Shepherd Dog and it works great. I'm amazed how much fur it takes off in such a short time. I get enough off to build another dog! And he loves it. He'll start off standing, then goes to a sit on his own, then he'll lie down and fall asleep while I brush him. Keep a broom and/or vacuum close by. I highly recommend the Furminator.

Before buying this product I was reading reviews on Amazon. I almost didn't buy it because of negative opinions. And I AM SO GLAD I DID BUY IT!!! This product really works! Our Australian shepherd was shedding everywhere like crazy - she hardly does it after we started using Furminator. Just in two trimmings her entire undercoat was brushed away - and that was the main reason of why she shed in the summer time. And the price was not too bad (much cheaper at Amazon than at any retail store). I would really recommend it to everybody who has a dog or a cat!
