These 12-3/4-inch screens (a set of two) can be inserted into the trays of Nesco American Harvest's FD-27 and FD-50 food dehydrators to prevent foods such as sugary fruits from sticking during the drying process. The fine-mesh screens are flexible, so they can be curled and foods simply peeled off. The screens are also useful for preventing small items such as herbs and spices from falling through the dehydrators' trays. As a bonus, they're dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

 just don't fit October 6, 2008
The clean a screen does not fit my FD-50 properly. I have other screens that work well, but these are just a little too big. They wrinkle when placed into my trays. I cannot find another product at a price I can afford, so I will either leave them wrinkled, or trim them to size later.

These clean-a-screens work as expected. The small mesh grid keep things (like peas) from falling through the dehydrator. The screens are flexible so they are great for putting under sticky fruits so you can just pop stuff off.
If you are using a juicy/sticky fruit, your main trays will still get sticky and need washed. The screens only make it easier to empty the dehydrator.
Food dehydrator accessories September 5, 2008
These screens are an excellent addition to the Nesco Dehydrator; the drying of herbs, vegetables, and fruits are easier with the food screens. Performs as advertised.

The only real negative thing I can say about these screens is that you don't also have the choice to buy them individually. Our dehydrator has either 5 or 7 trays and you're stuck with an even number of these things, so you'll always have an extra.
Guess that's not a bad thing so much. Just being a cheapstake I guess.
Great item and must have for dehydrating fruit.

I thought that the screens would be close enough weave to not let applesauce slip through. It just made a big mess. They were nice however for the smaller pieces of carrots and radishes that I dry.
